David Lacher

Founder & Principal

The firm of LacherLaw began its existence at its current location in downtown New Rochelle under the name Law Office of David Lacher in September 2004. The Founder and Principal of the firm, David Lacher, already was well-known in the community for his active public presence on multiple elected and appointed boards and committees. When the last public company at which he had served as inside General Counsel relocated to Chattanooga, Tennessee, it made sense to open a local law practice in the hometown where Mr. Lacher had resided since 1979.

From the beginning, the firm was established to be an attentive boutique practice providing pragmatic and cost-efficient legal representation for the people and businesses of New Rochelle and the surrounding communities of Scarsdale, Bronxville, Larchmont, Mamaroneck, Purchase, Harrison, Rye, Port Chester, White Plains, Mount Vernon and Yonkers, as well as the New York City Boroughs of Manhattan, Bronx and Queens. Over the years, the focus of the practice has shifted away from its origins in litigation and toward three major areas: Wills, Trusts and Estates Administration (for those who have lost loved ones or friends); Real Estate transactions, both residential and commercial; and Corporate and Commercial matters, including new business formations and purchases and sales of existing businesses.

In time the real estate practice expanded into land use and economic development for homeowners, commercial property owners and real estate developers. Those looking for landlord/tenant representation, criminal defense, matrimonial or family law, personal injury work or immigration are referred elsewhere to the extent possible.

The firm was “rebranded” to its present name and LacherLaw logo and identity in 2021.
