I am privileged to share the news that, at the annual meeting of the New Rochelle Bar Association held on June 28, I was elected the next President of the Association. We will be using the summer months for transition and I (together with the other officers and new Directors) will assume the office officially at our installation dinner to be held in September.

In a situation such as this, we frequently hear in the acceptance speech that the celebrated person is “humbled” by the occasion. I, for one, would save being “humbled” for when one is taken down a notch (which surely has happened to me more than once in my lifetime). I rather consider this to be an elevating opportunity, and I am most appreciative of the confidence of my colleagues and friends who have elected me.
